This project will help build the sensory opportunities for my students in my classroom and help them thrive to be the best they can be! These materials will help reduce my students' anxiety, encourage imaginative play, and help them regulate their feelings so they are prepared to learn. Research shows that sensory play supports language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skill development, problem solving skills, and social interaction. Sensory exploration allows children to learn through all of their senses and make connections and discoveries in this world and through their emotions. It is my ambition to provide my students with a variety of sensory opportunities to meet their individual learning, social, and emotional needs.
