I am requesting an iPad for my classroom. Research shows that technology is an excellent educational resource. Myself and my student's will be using the iPad in several different ways. For example, there is a plethora of educational games, SEL websites and apps for the iPad. These will be great to use in centers, voluntary independent isolation time or during small group time. With the disparity going on due to Covid-19 some students are struggling emotionally. The iPad will allow me to taper the Social Emotional Learning lessons to the students direct needs. Some students need journal time and prefer a device rather than paper and pencil. There are so many ways to use this educational tool. I believe this iPad will motivate and encourage my students to continue working hard during this difficult time and put forth their best effort!
