As children grow older, technology becomes increasingly important, especially when a pandemic happens. The students need to know how to type, do homework, use Zoom, and carry out other activities on learning devices. At our preschool, we are having to change how we have the parents their children sign in and out. I love sending pictures to parents showing them what their child is doing throughout the day, since they are not allowed in the classroom because of Covid. I know as a parent how hard it is to send your child to school and not being able to watch them in the classroom. So, I feel it helps make the parents feel included in the classroom. Having the iPad will help me meet those goals. I can use the iPad with our sign in and out app and send pictures through that same app. The children can use learning apps on the iPad such as Khan Kids. This is not only fun for them but also helps me see what developmentmental goals they need help meeting. Having the iPad will help me upload pictures and anecdotes of their development to DRDP Tech and assist in their learning.
