I work with my students in groups on reading and math. I want my room to be a safe and comfortable environment. That is why I added inspirational posters and Growth Mindset posters. I want my instruction to be interactive and give students hands on experience to help them be better readers. In my list the different I have added several hands on activities such as the alligator phonics game. My students need the opportunity to play games and activities so they stay engaged and can increase their skills in math and reading. My time is spent with small group individual instruction and so I need options for all my students such as the flashcards that I added to my supply list. My students need help with social emotional aspects of school as well. I’ve added some books and social/emotional flash cards to help students learn how to handle social situations in the classroom. This will help them gain a more well rounded education and have better interactions with peers. I was given the reference from my principal for the Julia Cook books, and so I added some of those to my list that would be grade appropriate.
