I am requesting a carpet, seat storage sacks, soft seats and a copy of Miguel and the Amazing Alebrijes. As my students begin a new school year, I would love to help create a sense of community in my classroom with a beautiful rug and flexible seating options that will be used everyday in my classroom. The students love to use the entire classroom when learning and this rug would help my students have a comfortable place to collaborate, read and play. This rug is big enough for all my learners, it will be placed in the front of the classroom and used as a gathering place during our Morning Meeting, mini lessons or just our daily routine that helps us prepare for our day. My students are not accustomed to being at school and alternative-seating chairs will allow them to adjust to in-person learning. Students learn differently and providing different ways of sitting will promote progression. They will no longer all by sitting at tables. They will sit all over the classroom with clipboards and learn from there. My students will be more motivated, focused, or simply happy to have options. The student chair storage pockets will help keep each student organized at their desk and allow for them to keep needed materials close and available. My goal is to have every student feel welcomed and comfortable throughout the day. We would be so grateful if you contributed to this project because with your help, I will be able to continue enhance our learning environment and support my students.
