As a class, we go over and read primary sources to understand History as it happened. Night by Eli Wiesel is a primary source that we will be reading in class to help the students understand what life was like during the Holocaust from those who lived through it. This book is written in a way that all of my students will understand it regardless of their reading levels. Some of my students have disabilities and many come from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. When it comes to my classroom we will read some of the book in class. As we read through the book we will stop and discuss what is happening so that all the students are understanding what is happening. During the discussions, we will also connect the book to the prior knowledge that the students were provided about this subject. The students will finish reading the rest of the book at home.
