The use of the whiteboard is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. However, when you have students with special needs in-person and at home with varying learning needs; it is important to have small group stations set up in different areas of the classroom to reach all students. Using the portable whiteboard will help students be able to watch easily at home during guided practice as well as helping us incorporate smaller learning groups in the classroom to be more effective in our teaching. We will have the ability to teach different levels at the same time without wasting crucial learning time. The whiteboard will allow me to model for students as well as giving them a small area to show and share their work. With the whiteboards, we can increase student learning by providing explicit instruction in smaller work groups.
