As stated earlier, the students will use this Popcorn Machine as an incentive for weekly grade, weekly behavior, weekly attendance and homework prep. All students will have the opportunity to gain tokens or tickets every day or every time they are caught doing good. The students gain tickets for completed homework, attendance and good deeds. This project will allow the students to know that we as a school care about their well being. The teachers will have the opportunity to hand out the tickets or tokens as well as the entire school staff. Some examples are custodians can give tickets for picking up paper, cafeteria staff for being polite, office staff for a kind greeting, etc. At the end of the week the students will be able to buy pop corn and other treats with their tickets. Additionally, they will be able to learn to count and manage money. As a counselor, I would like to provide incentives for all students on campus!
