At the middle school level, calculators enhance learning because they increase productivity. Our students are strong in foundational math. We want students to devote their energy to mastering complex concepts that will increase in difficulty this year. Scientific calculators are a valuable tool that shift students' focus from basic calculations to retention of higher-level procedures. Each student will be provided a calculator that they will return at the end of the school year. Students will use these calculators in the classroom and at home as they progress through the math workbook.
