My ultimate goal is a 1:1 classroom ratio of students to cameras. Right now, we're about midway between 3:1 and 2:1. The popularity of my program has exploded tremendously since I arrived three years ago. I now teach 6 sections of student media, including two sections of Introductory classes and three sections of advanced photography. Overall, I have roughly 60+ students who will be using my cameras regularly this year. At least 24 per class. And we have 10 cameras to offer. Striving toward the 1:1 camera per student ratio means each student would have the capability to hone their craft more by spending more one-on-one time with it. Too many students are sitting around and waiting for their opportunity to merely complete their work. I would like to put an end to that.
