My project is a great way to get children to learn about nutrition and nature by helping them make the connection between growing food and proper diets. By using these materials I can reach the goal for my students extending the classroom beyond traditional settings by expanding it outside learning concepts and skills that integrate with several subjects, such as math, science, art, health and physical education, and social studies, as well as several educational goals, including personal and social responsibility. Gardening can provide students with hands-on learning opportunities while increasing environmental awareness and vital experience in problem-solving.
