My students will be working on agility and teamwork through collaborative activities and relays. Much of our P.E. equipment is outdated, in disrepair, and/or non-adaptive to make it difficult to properly set up relay stations for students of all ages and abilities. We are limited in our adaptive equipment for our students with special needs, so many of these items will benefit those students more directly. They will learn to work together on strategies to be more successful in each relay task, positively encourage those that need it, and understand the value in celebrating the joy in just having a good time - even if they aren't the first to finish. Agility hurdles will benefit all of my students in their gross motor skills while simultaneously working on peer collaboration as they encourage each other through the relay stations created for them. The variety of balls will help make various games more adaptive/accessible to every student.
