My students are English language learners. In order for them to learn math concepts they need constant modeling. Having good manipulatives will help them to have a better understanding of the concept and skill that I am teaching. Every time that I use visuals and manipulatives my students tend to have a better connection of the skill that they are working on. One area that many of my students struggle is fractions. Having a good fractions manipulatives will help them to understand the concept. In addition it will support their learning.
