Due to Covid-19, we have to rethink how we use classroom space. Student's personal space is an integral part of learning, but backpacks can crowd an already limited space in the classroom. Having a storage rack can help alleviate this and facilitate more flow of movement in the environment. So students can feel free to move about the room safely. Aside from being a critical organizing tool, having a storage rack will help students learn to take care of their personal property. It will help them learn to be responsible for their belongings. When everyone in the group cares for themselves, it helps the whole community grow—the entire group benefits from each individual's act of personal responsibility.
