My project is designed to develop a student's positive gain in their reading skills and have the potential to accelerate cross-curricular student achievement. In addition, implementing these experiences with engaging strategies in our library will seek to to develop a lifelong love of reading. I am excited to share a different way to read and learn with short, on-level nonfiction and remarkable real-world photos. They will also build the nonfiction-reading skills they need most with thoughtfully written texts, lesson plans, and skills activities. The Scholastic News resource includes online access, with digital issues, learning videos, and Text-to-Speech audio will help to build fluency and support the goal of a 21st Century learning method.
