As Maria Montessori has stated, "Play is the work of a child". Many studies have shown that young children learn best through play. Because of this, I have put together a wishlist that not only will peak each child's interest, but also offer them multiple toy options to choose from daily. From STEM items like Legos and Play-Doh to matchbox cars and stickers, these items will give each student the opportunity to explore through play daily. Each student will be provided with one bin filled with multiple toy options to keep at their table for play time. Every week, I will disinfect the bins and toys, and they will be switched with another bin full of different toy options for my students to explore. Young children thrive in environments where play is encouraged, and by donating to this fund, you will give my students the items to make this possible.
