This project is to help support new books for my class library. Based on my observations of my students, I've selected texts that they are interested in and that will help them get a broader perspective of the world around us. The books included in this project are fun leveled readers to support foundational skills. When students are interested in books they are excited to read. The books that I have chosen are perfect for my children as a second-grade teacher. I know my students will be happy when they get these new books. These books, flipbooks, journals, and other materials will give my students the tools needed to become good readers. It will give them the help that they need to be able to understand what they read and how to become great writers. Reading is a vital component of everyday life and something that students must be able to do in order to be successful. With your help, we may be able to give them the tools they need to be successful in and beyond the classroom. The Kleenex and gloves that are in the cart will ensure the safety of my children while they are becoming better readers and writers.
