Elementary kiddos need structure, hands-on activities, and a calm/creative education space in order to learn effectively. Every item I have selected is intended for this purpose and will help us get off to a great start in our new classroom. Through tactile learning with dry erase materials and colorful teaching aides, I hope to encourage students to learn through play and allow them to not just learn the music I teach them, but to create their own from day one. I will be using dry erase pockets for them to write music, identify pitches and symbols, and for trivia competition answers. I have selected colorful posters to catch their eye both during instruction and in passing so that they can visually picture the abstract concepts I am teaching. I will also be laminating student projects for presentation outside the classroom, so their musical creativity can be captured and preserved. We thank you for your support and contributions!
