A classroom rug is a staple in any lower elementary classroom and arguably one of the most important learning materials. They are used as seating during literacy, math, science, and history learning. A classroom rug will allow my students to focus their attention on content learning in various subjects while also participating in social/emotional learning such as spatial awareness. Seat sacks will allow students to store materials in an easily accessible space. This will avoid loss of learning time during transitions within the classroom and give students the opportunity to develop a sense of responsibility in the care of their learning materials. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be provided the opportunity to the flexible seating that a rug allows and avoid the distractions and loss of learning caused by lost and/or broken materials.
