The resources I receive will be used to build my own classroom library. This year I am starting a book club along with free reading during class time. Allowing students the opportunity to read freely is one of the best ways to get students reading again as literacy rates are constantly dropping. I want students to fall in love with reading again and change the stigma that stands behind the idea of someone who reads. My students currently lack resources in our own library and in the community, and I want to change this.
