Covid-19 has stolen a great deal from many people of all races, creeds, and nationalities. It has especially hit our students who have lost out on an entire year of instruction and proper social-emotional learning needed for their socialization into society. They have been placed behind the eight ball and are asked to exceed expectations despite that. What these materials will be used for will be to alleviate such high tensions. I want to create a space that they can feel comfortable in, that they can have a reprieve from the chaos that is incapsulating our world.
Our students deserve a place within their classroom where they can lay back and catch their breath in a time where they find themselves struggling just to be them. I believe that flexible seating options will help students to unwind and feel more comfortable in the classroom especially as they have been out of the classroom for a whole year and are in an entirely new school! These materials will go to creating a more relaxing and casual environment that still offers a space ready for learning to take place. In this new comfortable learning space, they will be able to read their books as well as work on their class activity booklets. Overall these resources will help our students to improve their overall wellness and emotional wellbeing within the classroom and school at large.
