Giving students the chance to paint on canvas is a big step up in the art room. It helps them build confidence and gives the feeling of becoming a true artist. Students get tried of using printer paper, pencils and watercolors. With the neo-expressionism project we study Jean - Michel Basquiat and how he using different materials glued to canvas and other objects to create his artwork. This helps students to start seeing all the different opportunities they can have to make art. Which helps to world by gaining more artist.
