I do many foldables, drawings, projects and crafts in my classes to help my students grasp concepts that may be high on the scale of common misconceptions. I’ve found that doing more hands on projects keeps participation at an all time high as well as retention of information. Last year I found that supplies were not readily available and my students are from lower socioeconomic status and can not afford to buy them as well. However, I think that these students deserve the same opportunities and it helps to foster a positive and willing learning environment.
