These materials will be used for small group math instruction. My students are 2-3 years below grade level and many are newcomers to this country. My students need math materials they can hold in their hands and manipulate. They need hands-on interactions with math to accelerate their growth. To some students, math can be intimidating-it's almost like a foreign language. The great thing about math is that no matter what language my students come to me speaking, math concepts are universal. I want to use these materials to make math approachable for my students so they can achieve their goals.
