I want my students to be able to move around the room and talk with each other as they work this year. Currently, my classroom has no clip boards and not enough white boards to support a class full of children. Having a class set would allow for more movement across my classroom. Movement allows for partner work and will help foster a strong classroom community. I would also like to have my students gain serious interest in reading which can be attained if I have books within my classroom library that fit their interests. If my students are excited about the things we have in our classrooms they will be more willing to learn. Student mailboxes provide a space to students that is just for them. Furthermore the rugs will help provide to a safe and comforting classroom in which my students will thrive both emotionally and academically. Large post it note chart paper and magnets will help me to create anchor charts for both math and literacy concepts to help my students retain their knowledge in those areas
