Upon first entering my new classroom what stuck out to me the most, was how awful the carpet looked where students are expected to sit and learn. I was told that my classroom was one of the very few left to not have new carpeting installed due to funding. There are stains upon stains on the current carpet and my heart just went out to the little learners who are expected to sit there! I want so badly to give them a clean and safe place to learn this year. The past year has been so tough for these kids with the pandemic and wearing masks and socially distancing and the constant talk about staying germ free and then they have to walk into a classroom with an old, stained carpet and it makes me so sad. Please help my kids out by giving them a clean place to sit this year!! They have been through a lot and deserve this for sure!
