Flexible seating provides students with an opportunity to comfortably learn and aides with focus and engagement. Allowing students to choose from a variety of seating choices also fosters self-awareness in what environment they learn best. I strive to have a student-centered classroom and through providing flexible seating, students will be empowered with choice. Classroom community and environment are extremely important to me and my students will have a safe, comfortable environment that allows them to reach their fullest potential. Finally, with restrictions related to COVID, I would love to offer safe seating options that can be easily cleaned and sanitized. Flexible seating also allows students to socially distance within the classroom. In addition to comfortability, safety is also of extreme importance.
