If funded, on the balance beam, my students will learn to walk one foot in front of the other, sideways, and jumping to the ground. The super-safe trampoline will help them build muscle tone and coordination. Additionally, the ball toss and first rider bikes will be used to achieve their social-emotional goals. They will practice taking and waiting for turns, verbally approximate requesting and work on hand-eye coordination. There are many ways to learn and teach special needs students. Outdoor play naturally lends itself to their needs.
