These 3-D modeling kits will help my students explore the fundamental principles of covalent and ionic bonding, polarity, solubility, states of matter, and crystal structure. Since atoms and molecular interactions cannot be seen these topics can be very abstract, unfamiliar and overwhelming to my students. These manipulatives will facilitate a better understanding of these various topics by giving students more hands-on opportunities to connect with these concepts and explain their thinking process. These kits are a valuable tool for exploration and experimentation with chemistry concepts. This project will help build my students confidence in chemistry and help them explain their thinking more accurately and effectively.
