As a K-12 Literacy Specialist, it is my job to be the expert and serve as a resource for the 200+ staff members with whom I work. I will be sharing my learning about the Science of Reading through literacy coaching, PLCs, book studies, and professional development presentations. "When you know better, do better." Additionally, these tools will allow me to revamp intervention supports to close the achievement gap. The various strategies each resource offers will benefit the students needing the most individualized instruction while developing a joy for reading.
