After a long time of learning from screens and at home, many of my students will struggle when they come back into the classroom. Providing them with many different options to sit in, they will feel more comfortable. I want students to relax in my room and feel like they can ask for what they need. Laying down on yoga mats or wobbling on stools will help students focus their minds, and if that's what they need to learn, I want to be able to offer it to them. In addition, many of these items, like the bean bag chair, can help my students calm down in a relaxation corner. Everybody deserves to take a comfy break when they need it. Because of the emphasis on group work in my classroom, the portable options will also help students collaborate. I want to lead by example. My top item on this list is the standing desk, because I'll be able to better supervise my students. Not only this, but I will be leading by example to show my students they don't have to sit traditionally to be acceptable or successful.
