In today's day and age, it is very easy to get the answer we are looking for with a quick, simple search. Type our question in the search engine and bam! You have an answer. Technology can be a wonderful asset in many instances, however, it takes away a fundamental component of learning, critical thinking. By providing each student with their own scientific calculator in class, they have the opportunity to step away from the ease of access and develop their own critical thinking skills. This will be done through computation using their own thoughts and knowledge. Doing so will help increase student morale since they will directly experience success through their own work. This will then, in turn, improve student achievement and success.
