The Recovery Lab would be a place for students to learn the social and emotional skills they need. The population served at my school has a higher exposure rate to trauma and needs access to resources to learn these skills. A place dedicated to this type of learning would benefit not only the student themselves but their teachers, families, and classmates. In order to fully teach the whole child and set them up for success, students will need to learn these skills. A dedicated team at our school is willing to teach these skills. Their efforts will be furthered by the presence of these items.
