It's important for students to come to school and feel that it is wonderful place filled with opportunity, friendships, and fun experiences. I have taken the time to decorate my new third grade class with all new posters and cozy objects to create a warm environment. A clean, new rug is the last thing that I would like to have. In the early elementary years, there is a big emphasis on reading which is comprised of phonics, vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension. Giving my students a clean and cozy place to sit and work on their skills in reading is so important to their success.
