Scholastic Magazines are written with kids in mind. They give them interesting topics and a variety of genres and text structures so they get practice reading all kinds of text. Included with the magazines are lessons and activities that bring the learning deeper for the students. My students will benefit by having digital and print access to information so they can interact with the text in multiple ways. The magazines will allow me to focus on teaching the material instead of finding texts to use in my classroom. The readers' theater pieces are perfect for teaching fluency and characterization which are skills my students really need to practice.
