This year a lot of my students are reentering the classroom for the first time in a long time. I want my students to walk into a classroom that engages them, enables creativity, and makes them feel safe. My students deserve everything and more! It’s a pretty penny to be a student. More and more schools are requiring large amounts of supplies to be purchased by families. I never want my students and their families to feel stressed about providing supplies. I want to provide as much as I can so that it is not an issue. Quality education is a right not a privilege of those who can afford it. A key ingredient to an effective classroom is organization. Clutter and mess can cause some to students to feel stress. I want my students to focus on learning, not cleaning and searching for lost supplies. I believe that organization helps me to be an effective teacher as well. Time is precious, I want it to be spent learning! I need help! I am a second-year teacher without a large arsenal of supplies. I want to make my classroom an experience, not just a room. After all our students have been through, shouldn’t they come back to a classroom that they love? Shouldn’t they come back to a classroom that they can grow in? They deserve everything and more. I want to provide that!
