All students should be able to see themselves in their classroom. These books explore the lives of people often ignored in our classrooms. At the moment, being new to the area, there are no literature books available to my students in my class. I would love to be able to provide them a interesting books that honor the culture of my students. These are stories that need to be told and they are good for all students to read. These books would become available for the students to read in class, or they could check them out and read them at home.
