I am a first year teacher at a Title I school in Jordan school district, I'm teaching 3rd and 4th grade students with disabilities. I plan to use flexible seating in my classroom so my students can be comfortable when they are doing their work. This will make my students more productive and they will learn better. My students have a wide range of abilities and most of them don't work well in the traditional classroom chair and desk. I have also included some other classroom items that will make it easier for my students to learn. I plan to have a rug for my students to sit on when we are reading books, fidget toys to help my students manage their stress or sensory overload, and books to help my students learn about diversity, kindness, and their own emotions.
