My kids love to have challenges that require math skills but don't require worksheets. These items will help in letting kids investigate and use their skills in different ways. I want them to see that math is not just in worksheets and solving equations but math is in things they may have used since they were little kids. I want an environment in my math intervention program where STEM is present and not in a way that will frustrate my students but will encourage growth and a love for math. My students use these magnetic building sticks to build and talk about how Math is used in deciding how to build the object. They will also be using these materials to create and learn using different ways to understand math. These materials will give my students the ability to build objects using math skills and be able to see math concepts in a 3D format that will help my students see things in a different way visually.
