I am so excited to be departmentalized this year and teaching 3rd grade math! Students will begin (and master) multiplication and division early on in the school year and continue for the rest of their lives. The 100 pop fidgets are multifunctional, where I can use them as multiplication and division manipulative as well as social-emotional learning and calming tools. My number line will serve great as it will be displayed around the room for students to use daily. Lastly, the colored placers will fit perfectly for our multiplication and division games with the poppers! All of my students had an irregular school year last year; whether they were hybrid learning, remote learning, or were home-schooled and returning to full in-person learning. While my school is planning to be in person, these fidgets will serve great in the event that the classroom turns remote. Students have grown to love fidgets and as a math geek myself, I can't wait to combine the two for the utmost memorable and engaging learning!
