These materials will be used in the Media Center for exploration and inquiry. Students can practice can practice the design process using these materials to create prototypes, test them, and make revisions as necessary. A main focus is our library is STEM, and my students need access to hands-on materials in order to independently practice design thinking. Learner standards for the library include: 1. Problem solving through cycles of design, implementation, and reflection. 2. Persisting through self-directed pursuits by tinkering and making Maker space materials can be costly, especially when I want to share the experience through all grade levels. My hope is that through use of these materials, students will master these standards and be having so much fun they won't even realize how much they're learning.
