Flexible seating has been proven to help students. I think giving students the ability to choose what they want to sit on/in is going to help them in their learning. Some students don't sit well in a normal chair. Some students work better on the floor, on a stool and maybe even a balance ball seat. I have seen sitting on the floor change a students willingness to work. It was made some of my students feel more comfortable and when they are comfortable, they do better! I think trying different types of chairs and seats will help so many of my students.
