I hope to add these manipulatives in my classroom to help support my students understanding of mathematical concepts. My students will be learning about probability, measurements, fractions, and place value. These manipulatives will help provide my students with visuals supports and students will gain a better understanding of topics. Research has suggested that manipulatives make math more accessible for special needs students. Manipulatives can help students understand mathematical concepts and procedures. Understanding and applying abstract mathematical concepts is not always easy especially for students with learning disabilities. Manipulatives provide a tangible and visible tool for learning abstract concepts.

About my class
