These multicultural books and resources will help students learn about the culture here in Hawaii as well as the culture of peers. The students in my class come from very diverse backgrounds and these books will help share many of their traditions and customs as well as fictional stories from their countries. Each one of us brings something special because we are all unique and what better way of sharing and starting the conversation than incorporating stories from our culture. The stories will build vocabulary and enhance lessons on how we are very much alike but our differences bring so much learning to the class.
