My students will increase their vocabulary, express their feelings, and learn needed skills using these materials. They will be able to identify, sort, and categorize objects by their characteristics. Students will be prepare for reading with lots of practice in problem solving! There are activity mats and realistic miniatures that build skills in size comparison, sorting and matching—hands on. There are dolls that express feelings so that the students can show their own feelings, feelings of another peer , or the feelings of a story character. Circle time will Provide the students with daily practice in calendar concepts, the alphabet, Counting, and literacy skills. It reinforces Days and months, rhyming words, colors, shapes and weather. The center has lots of hands-on exploration like fun-to-touch attached tactile letter cards, a gumball machine with gumball counters, and a weather spinner will stick on clothing pieces. All of the items I’ve chosen will enhance student learning .
