With the "Little Spot" books, I will be able to help teach students about the emotions they are feeling and strategies to cope with them. The "Social Skills Activities" book will help me come up with interactive lessons that are fun and age appropriate and that will help keep my students engaged. My goal is for these students to take what they have learned and be able to successfully name their emotions, have healthy and safe strategies to cool down, and communicate with adults about their needs. In the possibility that we go virtual, due to snow days or other obstacles, I will be able to use these materials to also create online lessons that will be available for students and their guardians.
