Students need a “window and a mirror” to learn about what is possible and what people who look like them have achieved. These books will be available to students to check-out from my 6th grade Science classroom and will supplement our classroom laboratory activities. I teach in a Title 1 middle school. The majority (61%) of my students are Hispanic or Latino. Thirty-five percent are English Language Learners. I hope these books inspire more students to go into STEM careers. Thank you for your support in providing these biographies for my students.
