Please help give my students, myself, and my family peace of mind. Many folks in my community have actively fought against wearing masks in school, and as a result, my district does not intend to require them. In my opinion, this leaves us all vulnerable to a virus variant that has been shown to be just as contagious as chicken pox according to the CDC--even for those of us who were responsible and chose to get the vaccine. Choosing to wear a mask will only do so much good if most people in a small, packed room aren't wearing them. While I am told I hold a minority opinion in this community, I still believe it is the morally responsible one. Any assistance in protecting myself and others is greatly, greatly appreciated.
