Our school is back to in person teaching. These hands on experiments will allow students to internalize science concepts. When they are learning about thermal energy, they will use the hand boilers to see the water move from the heat in their hands. They will also see that heat transfers from hot to cold and transfers until the temperatures are the same with the thermal energy transfer set. We study climate change. They will understand why the earth is absorbing more thermal energy when they see that a dark can heats up faster than a white can. The students will come to understand more about solar energy as an alternate energy source when they build a fan propelled by solar energy.
