My classroom is a bustling STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) lab for students in grades K-6. Currently, our table heights are varied, to accommodate tiny 5 year olds to adult-sized 12 year olds. Unfortunately, all our chairs are small - SO small that when sitting at the taller tables, some students' chins barely clear the tabletops! It is virtually impossible for them to work comfortably and effectively without climbing up higher onto their chairs or standing. There are no extra "big kid" chairs in our school. Eight, new, 18" (seat height) chairs would make our STEM lab a safer, more student-friendly place to learn. The remaining items listed will help ensure that we can maintain safe hygiene practices with minimal sharing of equipment, so we can KEEP OUR STEM LAB OPEN and continue our hands-on learning and exploring!
